Love

Love

Love cannot be purchased or prescribed
But only pursued by the most foolish souls
Some people search for love for their entire lives
When what they are looking for is right in front of them
Love is Happiness and Happiness...is everywhere

It was no surprise to me that Mr.Charringtion was involved with the thought police. There was no way that Julia and Winston could have such a spectacular hide our to preform all sorts of illegal acts without any repercussions. Now that Winston is in custody the party will attempt to find out where the source of this rebellious attitude is from and use Julia as a lever to get awnsers out of him. Since he has such strong feelings for Julia he will cooperate with the party in order to secure their freedom which unfortunatly is not possible. Eventually they will both be vaporized by the party and only known to the history books....oh wait there are none!

Genetic Engineering

Genetic engineering is a procedure which should be governed by strict limitations. Acceptable practices will seem to change determined by the individuals moral standards, but at what point does science intermingle with God's creations? The main use of genetic engineering should be to prevent physical deformities, and illnesses. When hair color, eye color, and other physical features are being altered first that's when you know we have gone too far. Think about it from this perspective, would you rather your child with blond hair or no legs? You decide which comes first.

These moral standards have been force fed to us ever since we were born. What is right and what is wrong, these are merely the Protestant, Judeo, and Christian opinions on which our country was raised. Our morals by which we judge things are completely different from that of an Islamic society. So in writing this one would only have a fraction of multi-cultural feelings towards genetic engineering. A parent from the Middle East would have a different opinion from that of a North American parent, this clarification would be necessary in order to set the moral guidelines of genetic engineering.

If society allows the alteration of minor physical features there would be little to no diversity within our culture. Eventually everyone would have similar physical, as well as mental traits. In some ways this may benefit our society in the future, but will limiting diversity in order to build a uniform society be a positive? This will take away peoples inherited character and appear to be a robot like society. If these moral barriers are overlooked our society could possibly be turned upside down and manipulated with ease. Democracy could be eliminated due to genetic engineering, and as an American is that the society you want to live in?

I believe that the beauty of nature lasts a lifetime

I believe that the beauty of nature lasts a lifetime. This beauty has many different forms which effect people in different ways. I believe that everyone at one point in their life has a connection with nature that they will remember for the rest of their lives. For me I well never forget the memories I have accumulated throughout the years while hiking the Appalachian Trail.

Once every year during the second week of October I venture up the Appalachian Trail in hopes of ressurecting the same feelings that I felt last time I hiked this mystical trail. The days before the hike bring anticipation for the few men who brave the cold, rain, and other unknowns that lie ahead of us just to expericence the beauty of nature. We hike with cameras at our side and stop every few minutes attempting to capture natures beauty with these digital devices, but the same effect does not compair to the way once sees things through their own eyes. Dissapointment sets in when you realize whats on the camera wasnt the same image you saw in your head but those memories will always be with you wether you realize it or not. Everything about the trail has imprinted itself in my mind ever since the first day I stepped foot onto the trail. Every rock, root, tree, and overlook and has a special place in my heart that will never fade away nor be replaced for the rest of my life.

I believe that natures beauty is one of a kind and can be interpreted in many ways by many differnt people. For me the memories of the hikes and the beauty that nature shares with us will remain in my thoughts for the rest of my life, and I hope other can share the same experience that I once felt.

It seems that every first date begins with some sort or preparation. I usually find myself cowering through my closet looking for something suitable to wear, something that will impress my date. This outfit cannot be too formal or too casual, it has to be dead center. After I'm satisfied with everything I put on my clothes and clean myself up, clip my nails, shave, brush my teeth, put on some deodorant and cologne and I'm set. So lets say my date is at 6:30, do I come early, on time, or casually late? I sit in the driveway debating this topic for quite some time and eventually realize it's 6:39, I assume it's time to leave and head to my dates house. The drive there is somewhat nerve racking, as the lighted houses pass by me ever so slowly I begin to wonder if I'm in some sort of daydream. I finally meet my date and now I'm faced with this decision, do I greet her with a hug, a hand shake or just a verbal confermation that I'm happy to see her? If I make the wrong move I could make things awkward for the whole night. How is it possible that this split second decision can make or break my night, so I finally decide on the verbal confermation because it is simple and painless. As the night progresses one may find themselves at a slew of awkward crossroads, ones such as quite pauses or dead end conversations but these problems can be fixed with a simple solution, a movie. A movie requires no conversation whatsoever and allows the two to have an enjoyable time. When it's time you leave you are faced with the most difficult part of the night, the goodbye. Honestly what is someone to think, do you just hug and get it over with, or do you make this big drawn out process where you make it so awkward that you just end up saying goodbye anyway? My simple solution is a hug and a quick goodbye, this limited contact allows for a minimal awkward experience. All dates may not be comfortable but the preperation and meaning behind them is always worth writing about.

Green

Green is the essence of nature. Every forest, stream, and lake are labled with the title "green". This color represents the abundance of life and purity in nature. I would like to see myself as being green for I to am full of life and respect natures blessings, purity, and recognize that humanity depends on it so much. I try to surround myself with nature as much as possible, almost everday I take a walk or sit outside and absorb everything there is to take in. This color also emits a feeling of calmness or relaxation and has not the slightes feeling of agression or anger. Over all this color fills the air with emotion and sends feelings through my body that nothing else could compair to.

Object Assignment

Take the perfect picture of nature in your head and multiply that one hundred times over. For me my end result is the beautiful Appalachian Trail, a trail that emits somewhat of a mystical feeling towards it. For thousands of people have walked over the same roots, rocks, and soil that I have just set foot on. It is hard to imagine that with all the traffic that this trail receives the surrounding environment still appears almost untouched by man. The trail is surrounded by a dense forest of fairy tale like qualities, as the sun spits through the limbs of the tallest pine trees and the smallest shrubs. While sleeping one may hear the trickling of a high mountain stream or the rustling of a grouse scampering across the ground but to the average hiker this is the sound of pure simplicity. Some may question your sanity when telling them of your goals, “Why would you sacrifice the comforts of home to sleep in the wilderness?". I have no specific response to this question but I believe that the feeling of the trail cannot be put into words for its unknown beauty will never be understood by man.
